Cathy Burris has been selected as the American Youth Football Cheerleader
Coach of the Year. Cathy is the director of cheerleading for the Pacific
Coast Conference of American Youth Football. She also serves as the
Western Region Director for American Youth Football and has played a major
role in the growth of cheeerleading, not only in the West, but has aided
in the growth of cheerleading in the Eastern United States as well. Cathy
has spent many years in youth cheerleading and her efforts have brought
cheerleading from the "quiet corner of the plate" of football to the
prominence it enjoys today. Cathy, American Youth Football congratulates
you for being named Cheerleader Coach of the Year.

Craig Giunta
Cherry Hill, New Jersey
Craig Giunta of the Cherry Hill Midget Football League in Cherry Hill, New
Jersey, is American Youth Football's Volunteer of the Year. Craig has been
the driving force behind the incredible growth of the
CHMFL over
the past 10 years. He has handled the recruitment of volunteers, the
planning of practices and games, and also handles the awards banquets for
his kids. He is involved in various construction projects such as a new
clubhouse and snack stand. Craig puts in countless hours prior to and
after the season. His love for the kids and the game and his tireless
dedication to the league is truly outstanding. Craig, American Youth
Football is lucky to have you in our program and salutes you as Volunteer
of the Year!

Halifax, Pennsylvania
The Halifax Bobcats from Halifax, Pennsylvania have repeated as the
National Scholastic Champions of American Youth Football. There is
something special about coach Dave Bickel and his staff as they prepare
their teams, year in and year out, to not only win their local league
football championship, but to excel scholastically as well. Dave firmly
believes that he is preparing his team not only for the high school coach,
but the high school teacher as well. Additionally, the Bobcats are
involved in many useful community projects as well. Dave, we are proud of
your Bobcats and for being named the National Scholastic Champions of
American Youth Football! We salute you, your staff, and most especially,
your kids.
