Kim Wright

Kim is and has been a staunch supporter of the San Diego Conference and AYF for many years.

Kim exemplifies the meaning of Volunteer!  She has volunteered in our organization for 20 years.  Starting out as so many of us do at the Association level with her two sons and her husband that coached. Kim and Adrian (Kim’s husband) started in this Conference many years ago as a cheerleader and a player, of course never thinking that one day they would be volunteering for the same Conference.

Kim has been taken on the positions of the Conference Eligibility Director, the Boundaries Director, Scheduling Director, San Diego Officials Liaison, filled in as Treasurer, Hearing Officer, Vice Commissioner, Insurance Director, and is this Conferences Technical Support person for our computers and programs.  She also gives up hours taking the pictures of the volunteers for the badges.

The job of scheduling is one of intense fine-tuning, and she has become a master at glancing at a schedule and making sure all teams have games, and that there are officials at those games.  She also keeps track of the win loss records of all of our teams, schedules play-off games and the Championships.

When I asked something extra of her she is always there for me and the Conference, she helps with anything I ask, from organizing and distributing cleats for pick up, to going to an Association that has a problem, to staying up to midnight and beyond helping with the massive paperwork that we have when we start the weight certification and roster process.  She also fills in for me when I cannot get to a meeting with the Chargers or Hall of Champions.  She has helped with several different events with the Chargers, the Drew Brees Classic, the Reggie Bush Camp, the Roman Oben Camp and others. Kim never complains because she knows it is for the children.

Kim represents what a volunteer should be, giving, understanding, helpful and full of ideas that will make this Conference stronger and better.  Which in turn makes AYF stronger and better.

Kim is a business professional, juggling job, family and her many jobs as a Conference Director.

Kim has won the highest honor our Conference can give the “Presidents Award”.
