Scholastic scholarships and Academic Alliance awards are given to those AYF/AYC athletes who shine the brightest. Each year over 20 athletes are recognized in several award categories with significant monetary funds based on their achievements and exemplary behavior in leadership. These funds help to offset academic expenses.

The Academic Alliance All American Team

Participating in sports enables athletes to excel on and off the turf and grow in all areas of their lives. Academic Alliance acknowledges scholar athletes who have proven themselves to be a paradigm of the FOUR PILLARS of achievement including Academics, Respect, Discipline and Performance.

To be considered for Academic All-American honors all scholar athletes must have a 96 percent or higher grade point average. In addition, while making a mark in their local communities, all AAA winners must exhibit AYF’s four pillars of achievement and exemplify excellence in academics and sportsmanship.

The Timmons Brothers – Nathan, Tyler, and Sean from Lake Mary, FL were all awarded this honor and scholarship for their exemplary education accomplishments.

All three of these young men not only carry a 4.0 plus+ in academics but are also all Presidential Academic Award recipients while being active in their school honors programs. These brothers are also staying year round athletes at the top of their games in not only Football but Lacrosse as well. They are active and regular volunteers at their Community Shelter – Grace-N-Grits. Each of these young men demonstrated fine examples of AYF’s four pillars of achievement - academics, respect, discipline, and performance.
