All-Star Selection

AYF has three distinct all-star divisions and each has its own selection protocol.

Conference All-Star

Each AYF National Conference has the opportunity to select from its 8th Grade Players in the post season, an all star team to compete for a title at the AYF National Championships. Conferences interested need to contact the AYF Football Commissioner to commit a Conference All Star Team to the competition.

The Conference All Star division gives those players in their last year of AYF (whose teams did not qualify for a place at National Championships) a chance to compete on a national stage and create AYF memories to last a lifetime. This division also gives city and event state assembled teams a chance to represent their conference as a force in the national football community.

The Teams are comprised of 8th Graders and will play in the All-American (unlimited weight) division. Players interested for selection in their Conference All Star team must contact their Conference and follow the locally established all-star selection process. The selection process is determined by the Conference exclusively.

National All-Star Game

The National AYF East and West All Star Teams (36 players from each side) are nominated by their AYF coaches, administrators, and identified by scouts at AYF regional and national tournaments, rankings at AYFplayers.com and submitted SWINK.TV highlight films.

Any national All-Star Player submission by parents or fans must be made to their team coaches and/or association representatives for final submission to the AYF Naitonal Football Commissioners Office. An accompanying SWINK.TV highlight video is always recommended and these nominations will be considred first.

The National AYF All Star Game takes place at a Premier All American Football Event, the AYF ALL Stars have participated in the US ARMY All-American Game (NBC) and the Under Armour All-America Game (ESPN).  The AYF ALL STAR game now moves to the Semper-FI All American Bowl to participate with the US Marine Corps top selected national High School student athletes. All Star events are more then a football game, they are an invaluable learning experience and motivator for AYF's top scholar athletes graduating from AYF programs and moving into their high school careers.

The National AYF ALL-Star program also selects 24 AYC ALL STAR Cheerleaders. Girls should be nominated first by their squad coaches and then through their Conference representatvies to the National Cheer Director. Nominations will be collected from November 1st through December 1st.
