    Pat Dini

Pat Dini, a youth football and children activist has been involved with the Tucson Federation since 1977. Pat started as a team mom,  snack  bar coordinator and from 1980 to 1983 served as the third  President of the Cowboys Association. She took over an organization that was disorganized and brought order and growth to the Cowboys which today is one of the largest and most stable associations in the federation.  From 1983 through 1985 she served as a Vice President of the Tucson Federation and was in charge of Team Assignment and Certification as well as assisting in Rules  Enforcement.  From 1985 to present she has served as Federation Executive Secretary. Pat  was  instrumental in starting the scholarship program and worked with her husband to obtain the endowment which allowed the program to start; worked with the cheer program, was in charge of team assignment and certification for many years, has been in charge of scheduling multiple times and is again in 2007, is in charge of arranging for the federation insurance plans, has been in charge of multiple regional events and in 2005 assisted heavily with the Tucson hosting of the national football and cheer  championships. In addition she    has been     was   appointed by the Federation to take over two failing associations and played a major role in their rehabilitation.    In  her spare time she arranges the venues for major federation events and meeting rooms, coordinates the federation vendor show for associations held in April of each year, handles all major secretarial duties of the federation including all phone and Email information requests, complaints and referrals to federation officials.

This feminist activist has come a long way from the time in 1981 when a well known Cowboy Association football coach and successful businessman told her that she was just a mother and  she had nothing to do all day should stay home and take care of her   kids.  After Pat told him  how  the cow ate the  cabbage the man never caused her anymore grief and in fact  was  a major Cowboy sponsor and supporter. In addition, Pat has been involved with Little League Baseball as score keeper and tournament coordinator, was involved with Bobby Sox as a manager and All Star Manager and her teams won multiple championships. She was honored in 2001 by being named as Wescon Region Pop Warner Female volunteer of the year.

Pat  is married to   prior   AYF  Hall of Fame inductee     Gerald  M.   Jerry   Dini, has three grown children; a medical doctor, commercial banker and elementary school teacher all with advanced degrees and all of whom participated in the Tucson  Program  and  has five grandchildren the oldest   of   who is starting high school football this year.
