Letter to the newly elected President of The United States of America:
Dear Mr. President,
Congratulations for winning this historic election.
I have confidence that you will solve the financial issues we face. I
believe you will
also contain the Terrorists Bullies of many different names and agendas.
There is reason to believe all nations have begun to actually be earth
friendly. Now that the oil supply has increased and oil speculators have
been regulated, there are good reasons for optimism during your term in
office.
As president of a national youth organization my concern is for our nation's
greatest natural resource - our youth. I have spent most of my life with
young people. I humbly submit to you a few suggestions toward preserving
America's next generation.
Hate is wrong. We in the AYF Community have always been dedicated to
eliminating hate. Violence is ignorance. Every night street gangs go on
murdering rampages. They kill other children for wearing the wrong colors.
Shockingly 93 percent of the gang murders occur against rival gangs. It is
common to read of multiple murders every weekend. If you believe every life
is precious and must be respected, please stop the gangs.
Human Traffic is increasing. Runaways are easy prey to the thugs who live
off of others. There is more human trafficking today than in anytime in our
history. It was estimated that 17,500 slaves were held against their will
last year. Please free the slaves.
Your health plan should allow all Americans to live a long and productive
life. Please do not forget the leading danger to our youth. Automobile
accidents are the number one cause of teen fatalities. DUI is a contributor
in over half of the fatal accidents. Please make driver education courses
mandatory and jail those who endanger others by driving under the influence.
You said you want to improve America's education system. A good education is
one that teaches children to live happy, joyous and free. In the difficult
teen years kids need to know they are important to their family and
community. School shootings are usually enacted by a loner who is considered
an outsider or one who is a victim of bullying. Suicide is also growing at
an alarming rate. Self esteem is so very important in the difficult teen
years. Many teens feel compelled to enhance their looks through plastic
surgery. Others take steroids to improve their sports performance. Teen
pregnancy is on the rise. Please insist educators teach youth of their self
worth.
I have seen the fine men of American Youth Football working hard to change
attitudes of young minds. Every life is precious. When kids are busy
completing the circle of giving in their community they feel valued and
worthy. Please thank our youth leaders for insisting their kids Give Back.
Professional sports franchises can help you by setting examples. The funding
of grassroots programs will ensure a fan base for the future. Please insist
they reach out to all of God's children.
These problems can not be solved in one month or one year, but let us begin
a New American Youth Movement for the betterment of our country. Wishing you
the very best as the leader of the free world and brave Country.
