This code is needed to book your hotel rooms in one of the AYC approved hotels, which is a requirement to participate in the AYC tournament. Family and friends you are not required to stay within the AYF/AYC reserved room block or at AYF/AYC's official lodging establishments; however, enough rooms have been reserved to accommodate all our attendees, as well as their friends and families. Room blocks will be held until the last team/squad who qualifies for nationals, secures their rooms.
If you are booking a room as a family member, friend, volunteer and/or spectator and you want to stay in one of the approved AYF hotels and wish to receive the same AYF/AYC discounted pricing You MUST: Call the hotel directly at the phone number listed below and Identify yourself when making the reservation as attending the AYF/AYC event.
IMPORTANT: AYC will only issue Player Credentials based on the hotel room reservations tied to Team Booking Codes.
How to book hotel rooms for the American Youth Cheer National Championships®:
Step 1. Qualify for AYF/AYC National Championships.
Teams/squads will only be able to register and book rooms once they have qualified for participation in the National Championships by placing in a regional championship, or an AYF sanctioned qualifier..
Step 2. Register your team/squad via the National Competition On-line Registration Platform.
Upon completion of the on-line registration form, each team will receive a unique Team Booking Code.
Step 3. Call an AYC-approved hotel (listed below) and give the hotel's reservation specialist your Team Booking Code to make your approved booking in the AYC room-block.
PLEASE NOTE: Simply booking a reservation in an AYC-approved hotel will not meet AYC's requirements and your team will not be eligible to play in the National competition (this includes mighty-mites). The Team Booking Code must be given to hotel booking staff at the time of reservation for your team to be eligible.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Credentialing and Hotel Policy
AYC will issue (4) four OFFICIAL PLAYER/COACH CREDENTIALS per hotel room reserved for the week of the event. (i.e. if a team books 7 hotel rooms for the event using its AYC booking number, they will receive 28 Participant/Coach Credentials for his/her players/cheerleaders and coaches.
Meaning only 28 credentials will be alloted (kids and coaches) and 28 persons will be allowed to participate in the National Championships.
NOTE: If a team books 8 rooms and is entitled to receive 32 player credentials, but only has 30 players on its official roster, AYC will withhold the 2 extra credentials.
ALSO: If a team books 9 rooms and is entitled to receive 36 player credentials, and that team has up to 3 extra players, that team will not be required to book an extra room, AYF will issue up to 3 player credentials to teams whose player roster is not divisible by 4.
If teams are not booked into the AYF-approved hotels with their reservations tied to their unique booking code, they will not be eligible to participate. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Teams will not be placed in the bracket/schedule if we do not have confirmation from the hotels of your reservation per your booking code.
IMPORTANT: Reservations made for participants are guaranteed reservations and are not cancelable. They cannot be canceled and require a minimum stay. If you do not show up, your credit card will still be charged.
As long as your team or squad is on the competition schedule, you will not be allowed to check out of your hotel. Once you have finished competing, the hotel will be notified and you will be able to check out.
Checking out of an approved hotel prior to your elimination from the tournament will result in your team's immediate disqualification from the tournament.
Please note that this process is imperative. Due to the large number of people traveling for this event, this strict booking process is necessary to ensure that all participants, their friends and families can be accommodated by hotels in the event area. (No exceptions will be made).
Guaranteed Games
All American Division 1 (6U to 14U, Unlimited):
8-Team Maximum Brackets with a 2 Game guarantee, with a maximum of 3 games based on game results.
All American Division 2 (6U to 14U, Unlimited):
8-Team Maximum Brackets with a 2 Game guarantee, maximum of 3 games based on game results.
Conference All Star Division (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U):
16 Team Maximum Teams with Two 8-Team Brackets (A & B), if there are more than 10 teams. 2 Game guarantee with a maximum of 4 games based on game results. The 2 Bracket Champions will play for an Overall All Star National Championship.

Tax Exemption To take advantage of tax exemption in the state of Florida, AYF members who have 501(c)3 status through AYF can fill out a Florida Certificate of Exemption and file with the state of Florida. Without filing this form, 501(c)3 organizations CANNOT use their tax benefits in Florida and will be subject to state taxes, ie. hotel tax. The form can be found at myayf.com.
To file for tax exemption in Florida you must include:
1. The FL exemption form (posted on MyAYF.com)
2. A copy of your determination letter from the IRS and/or the letter we issued to you that states you are a 501(c)3 under the AYF umbrella
3. A copy of the group determination letter that is available on Myayf.com.
Please note that you will only be able to use the tax-exempt certificate if you are paying with either a company check whose name matches the tax exempt certificate or with a credit card that matches the tax exempt certificate.
The state of Florida takes 30-45 days to process and return the tax exempt certificate by mail - so you will want to process this ASAP to ensure that your leagues/teams will have it in time for Nationals.

DO NOT TO PAY AT THE TOLL BOOTH – use the Toll Pass/EZPass lanes to avoid being double charged. Most vehicles in Florida are already equipped with the Toll Pass/ EZPass device. In the event there is not one, the PlatePay system will recognize the plate as a Budget rental vehicle and the charges will be applied that way.
